If your husband is gone for long periods of time due to work (a year at a time) and he told you that you could have a physical affair as long as you were safe and did not allow emotions to become involved, would you do it?

I couldn't but that doesn't mean that it's wrong if you want to. The reason why i couldn't is that it's my belief that it's a wrong thing to do and I wouldn't want my husband sleeping with anyone else either.
But if you and your husband are open and honest about it, there is no reason why you can not do it. Also by sleeping with someone else it may save your marriage (in a weird way) if your husband is gone for so long, it may stop you from starting an emotional affair or leaving him because you are lonely.
Goodluck with your decision

If the husband said so... I would gather that HE CHEATS TOO... and thus am all right that I can do so, so long there were no strings attached.
That would make me very worried and I reckon we need to address each others sexual needs and wants.

No... once in a marriage I would not cheat.
Unless I need to break the emotional bondage and wanna out of the marriage... then I would cheat and get a divorce.

Why are you even with him? For kicks? For the money? Sounds not much of a relationship.
It wouldn't be cheating and it wouldn't be a affair if he knew about it. You don't sound to smart on these things
You can't use sexual toys to get what you need.
If you need a guy for it, you are going to end up falling for the guy and having feelings for him. Emotions are always involved unless...
It sounds like you want a one night stand or a bunch of guys if you don't want emotions involved.
This is a lady, I'm on my fiance's username because I didn't want to lose this question by changing to my username.

If I had permission to have an affair then yes I would. I admit that I am a player and I love the game. But I have benched myself and resisted temptaions.
But if I were given the choice I would. I know that it is dangerous territory as feelings do often get involved, but its a matter of knowing yourself.

i'm male but if it was the other way, wife was going away. i believe emotions will be there no matter what, if you really want the enjoyment of sex buy toys or a doll. get him to make videos so you can be with him. so my answer would be no, i love my wife and it's wanting to be with her that brings me home from work every night.
sorry if you didn't want a male prospective.

NO, I would never do that. Even if I had permission.

1. I value my marriage
2. I have self respect
3. I don’t believe in committing adultery
4. I wouldn’t want my husband sleeping with anyone else
5. I VALUE MY MARRIAGE!!!

HELL NO. You're in a marriage for a reason. Plus, if he's suggesting this, you should know he's cheating on you already!

There are tons of adult toys for you to choose from!

Don't pretend you women need permission. You women do it all the time without asking.

At least you're considerate enough to ask the poor guy.
