Forget about Osama Bin Laden and Al'Queda, I am not talking about that.

If the goverment went to far in interest of 'national security' would you become a terrorist? Maybe someone like V from the movie V for Vendetta.

And if so how far would that be? Restrictions of personal liberties, concentration (prison) camps, downright oppersion of populus, ...etc for example?

Please explain your answers if possible.

No, but I might become a freedom fighter.

Your addendum is as plain as the nose on your face, but thanks for pointing that out anyway.

Do any of you people even know what the word terrorist means?

Pick up a Webster's and stop watching TV.

They can call you a terrorist if you fart into the wind crooked and it blows in their direction. You must see this.

Donald Rumesfeld claimed that anyone who opposes the war in Iraq and the administrations policies were nothing short of Nazi appeasers.

At what point does the government become the terrorist?

Here is where they want to take us. Too far.

I am non violent and abhor violence. I feel all of the above are gross violations of all that is decent. Personal liberties are already restricted. Phone calls are no longer private. There are check points quietly going up all over the place.

Education is being torn apart so that people know no better. The concept of camps is terrifying.

I could never become a terrorist. There are other ways to accomplish goals and it would be worth finding ways that work. Personally I already do what i can by attempting to let people know what is going on.

Two hundred years ago your ancestors signed a document which forever changed the course of history. Colonial Americans severed the bonds to a tyrannical king and parliament in England and established in America for the first time a society based on the principle of the rule of law and limited government. Benjamin Franklin, one of your great statesmen, stated at this time: "Gentlemen we give you a Republic — if you can keep it."

The result was a glorious and turbulent 200+ years which witnessed the greatest achievements, the highest standard of living, and the highest levels of individual freedom ever experienced in human history. However, we have allowed government to grow without bounds so that today the golden prize of liberty has been all but lost.

Are you up to the task of getting it back, Americans?

The US Constitution allows us to fight tyrannical governments, if they ever come to pass. If we had a dictatorship, with no personal liberties, and concentration camps, you bet I would be a vigilante. I hesitate to use the word "terrorist" because that has a different meaning. Terrorists such as suicide bombers resort to killing innocent people--children, women, and other noncombatants. It would be our duty to reclaim our democracy, set political prisoners free, & reestablish rules of reasonable common law and freedoms of expression.

No, Thats too insane. I would become an Activist and make groups of people who are willing to fight against this unrightful acts of the government.

Thats what i'd do. Becoming a terrorist is just tottaly blowing it out the water.

Exactly, one man's freedom fighter is another man's terrorist.

I would not because I'm a pacifist.

No. I would become an insurgent, however.

A terrorist would kill civilians to create fear and intimidation.

My targets would strictly be military and governmental.

The thought of even wanting to terrorize people is sick. I wont become a hypocrite and slate the goverment for what they do, and then become a terrorist myself and become as bad as they are! No thanks.
