Write a piece about yourself and submit it to the editor. Newspapers are always looking for short items to fill column space.

Here are some crazy(or not so crazy) stuff that u can do:
Help the poor! Do some charity work!
Get in a band or something(if u can sing or play an instrument)!
Win a contest!
Do an experiment that nobody's ever thought of before!
Uh... that's pretty much it. It's hard to get in a newspaper(I mean, TV is easier)because the newspaper gets the meltdowns.
If you, by any chance, want to get in the TV...
Do something crazy like stuff 100,000,000 tissues in your nose!
(u might get on ripley's believe it or not!)
Go watch those... American Idol or whatever and wave your hand toward the camera!

Try doing something good. Find a cause that you think is worthwhile and get involved in it. If you don't make it into the newspaper this year, you may eventually. Even if you never do, I can almost guarantee you that you will end up reaping a great deal of satisfaction from doing your part to make the world a better place.

Yeah...it's called "letter to the editor". Sit down and really think about a topic that has been published by the newspaper and write away in a well though out letter...if it's well written out then you made it!!! Of course it's not going to be a major newspaper like the NY times.

Start up a community charity project like building a home for a needy person, a huge chairty drive, community clothing drive/food drive/theater project, things like that then contact the newspaper about it, local newspapers love that kindof stuff!

depending on what kind of things you are involved in there are several options. If you are involved in sports try their community sports section. If you discover some environmental problem like water pollution, that is another way. You can also write a colum and send it in and see if they print it, that is probably the hardest way. Then if you just want it in there somewhere, go for some kind of classified ad.

Hmmm?
Get married or divorced.
Write an opinion in the OPINIONS SECTION.
Stand at a busy intersection with a huge sign that reads....
"WE ARE BECOMING A POLICE STATE!"
...that oughtta get some attention. Stay with that sign held high for atleast 2 weeks.
Send me the article clipping!

try going to a rally, volunteering or see if you can write an opinion in the newspaper... I know my news station lets us write "rants" and I think our newspaper does too so I'd try that :o) GL

Do something good, worthy of being printed. Go save someone, start a new charity, or just write a letter to the editor.

You can write an editorial and they'll print it.
Or you can organize an event, fundraiser etc. and call the community editor and they might do a story.
Or you can (gulp) die and appear in the obituaries. Just kidding :)
