I really do not consider myself a liberal, however I am not surprised that Saddam was put to death, it was the reason he, and his sons were put to death. They chose to use Euro's rather than the US dollar to purchase their oil and the good old oil junkie wasn't going to have that. Kill Saddam n fam n put our own people in there so we can continue to get our oil on was the mind set of W. This war had nothing to do with the 9/11 only using the Euro over the american dollar period.

Saddam Hussein was a dictator. He was once, under the first Bush administration, an ally. He had Iraq under control. It was not a country filled with suicide bombers and complete chaos. It had electrical and running water. Now it does not. His was a secular government, not one controlled by the Shiites.

Am I upset over his death? It is History. The USA should never have invaded Iraq. Period.

i think of that I straddle the fence in this one because of fact on the only hand Saddam did very hideous issues to his very own people and could have been punished for them. on the different hand I observed this broken previous guy who now not had any capacity or posed a raffle to everyone. i think of like another butcher milosovic he might finally have died in reformatory and that i could have been comfortable with that.

No, But a president with at least an average IQ would have accomplished that by a small team of special forces, instead of losing 3100+ soldiers. A republican president, on the other hand, did what he did - we see how good his "intelligence" was.

Nope, I'm pretty liberal and pretty happy about it. Saddam was a real ****** and definitly deserved his fate.

It is unfortunate though that it cost so many American service men and womens lives. Its also unfortunate that other means weren't used to bring him to justice and we went to war over false information.

No.

At least this one isn't. I don't claim to speak for any large portion of the country or anything like that.
