Overacting....David Carruso style. lol... Especially the way he takes his sunglasses off for a scene and then puts them back on just in time for his one liner before end of scene...silly stuff. Maybe that is why he is standing like he does. But I love the show and I keep on watching...even if Im laughing!

He runs the gamut of emotions from A to B.
He found a shtick that works for him, and by golly he's going to stick to it.
He used the tilted head thing when he was on NYPD Blue; the always standing sideways to someone when he talks is new. And that annoying glasses on/glasses off thing.
As you can tell, I'm not too fond of him as an actor.

I assume it is just his signature move. Most actors have it. He did the same stance while in NYPD Blues. If you watch he will ask a question then drop his head and like peek up at an angle, not looking the person straight on.

its sorta like his signature stand in csi, whichever episode he's in, even the old ones, you can expect to see him standing like that and also how he looks at people with his head tilted and then him putting on his shades =D

Ha! I make fun of the pose all the time. It does get tiring after noticing it 300 times.

So we can wonder about it, just like we are! The fact that you are asking that question is the answer to your question. Fascinating and clever, isn’t it!?
