Because it's just a pay cheque and no matter what kind of boss you have you should treat the job as a pay cheque and do what he says. It's a big mistake to contradict your boss.

Think of it this way, your boss's boss is happy with him. He may know much more than your think.

Making work the priority of your life is a big mistake. Years and years ago when I was working for an idiot, a co-worker said to me, look, it's easy, just do what he says and just keep moving that's all you have to do.

Collecting a pay checque is the best revenge.

Also there is the shrinking factor. Most jobs when you start them take up all your work time. But as time goes on you become more adept and figure out better ways of doing things quicker. Most jobs become stale after six months to a year and you have learned all you are every going to learn from that job and furthermore, you have contributed to the company all you company all the new expertise that you have to the company,

I changed jobs a lot for higher pay and I would show up for work and keep moving. Frankly I think it was the secret of my sucess. I worked on some real big stinker disasters, but because I did my job and turned in work and reports every week, I had one heck of a data to show that I was working away and my boss couldn't say he didn't know what I was doing.

I also made it a practice to change jobs every 2 years so I wouldn't grow stale and frankly bored.

I've attended management courses where that was the recommendation -- change jobs every two years. Of course this is not possible for some people because it may mean they have to move away and they have deep roots in the community and your wife and children also have family and friends in the community -- not every family can handle it.

But keep your comments to yourself, keep moving, even if it is busy-work and otherwise don't give a good god darn. It ain't just worth it. If he asks you to do something over, just do it over don't compaina and don't explain, every boss asks employees to do their work over again just because they don't have a new assignment for you and your boss doesn't want to look bad.

i dont know, why dont you tell him, if he fires you thats fine do you really want to work for an idiot, maybe he needs to hear it to get back on track, i would use some tact, and not just call him an idiot. he may appreciate you for it and not be such an idiot after all, he may even respect you more for it in the long run.

Because you don't have the bal$$ to tell him, It's what seperates the boys from the men....
So what if you get canned, don't you think it's worth it.

Would you rather die on your feet. or live on your knees for the rest of yor life?

You can tell him. Just use tact and think in terms of solutions. Don't say anything if you are just complaining, because that does no one any good.
