Violence is part of life, in almost every aspect. It's in the news, on TV, newspapers, etc...It's approved by the President of these United States.
I would have a President that believed in Peace first before Violence. I would have a news that would speak of the positive things that happen in life before the negative things. I would have us all believe that positive, kind, caring individuals are valued in life and rewarded for their contribution to life.
It's not that I want everyone to forget the bad side of life, but to remember the good over the bad. To realize that life does not have to be all bad.

If I had any kids I would decrease the amount of violence that is shown in my home. I would actually sit down with my kids and explain to them the facts of life; no matter where you go, there will always be violence or some other injustice taking place. I think parents in America and other developed nations have stopped being parents and are letting the government raise their kids. I think some parents need to stop blaming the government, entertainment industry, and schools for their own subnormal parenting skills.

While I am not a Jehovah's Witness, one of the foundations of their belief system comes from Jesus' own words: My kingdom is no part of this world. There are many other words that Jesus spoke relaying the same message, which was clear: While we cannot be physically removed from the world, the followers of Christ are no part of the world and are not to engage in the behavior of the world. I think this applies to the entertainment of our children and the instruction from an early age in the ways of righteousness, goodness and cleanliness.

Not let my children play violent games and utilize the built-in chips that come in nearly every single cable box to make sure they can't access violent television shows.

Try to give them a subject or things of their interest other than tv or video games...just tell them to go out and chill with their friends...or take them with you near by park or a circus...or just switch off the Tv when they just do for a long time...keep the time limit for them to watch the tv or play video games..

Bring back phys ed and clean up parks and streets so that children can go outside and amuse themselves with a feeling of physical competence and safety. Most kids would rather fool around and feel like they can go where they please, even if they are not athletic. There is no place to play any more, and people feel unsafe.

If you are bothered by what your children see on tv, take control of the remote. There are many great tv channels just for kids(Nick Jr., Noggin, Boom, Sprout)
