Communicate with him. Regularly.

I am in a long-distance relationship with a woman 900 miles away. We talk every night, which allows us to touch base every night. It also fosters communication, which brings us closer together emotionally.

I deliberately said "communicate" and not "talk". Talking is just part of the communicating we do. I will send her "I love you" text messages from time to time, just randomly. I will send her flowers for no reason, or send her cards, or things like that.

When we're together ... we meet in person every 4-8 weeks ... we communicate through physical contact. I don't mean sex. The first thing that happens when I arrive at her home, or she arrives at the airport here, is we hold each other. No talking ... just holding each other. Or, I'll be driving and she'll just reach over and hold my hand. Memories of that often help during the times we're apart.

i don't think that the number of miles is what matters. What matters is that you are away from the person you love. I am 800+ miles away from the man I love. It's hard when you can't reach out and touch them. We have to be committed to the relationship, and if it gets too hard, weigh the pros and the con's of the thing before you decide to move on, or stay in it for the long haul.. With me, there is no doubt that I want to stay in it for the long haul. I've flown to see him twice, and will again next month. After that, he'll come to see me. That's the best we can do right now because we both have jobs we love, and our families are where we live. My advice to you is hang in there.

like the others have said, stay with him.true while long distance relationships are difficult, they are not impossible.if anything it makes you stronger and makes the time you spend together even better.i know its hard right now but if you love him as much as you say you do than the wait will be more than worth it.best of luck

You either move (or the other person moves) or continue to have a long distance relationship. Those are the only two choices that you have.
