What birthcontrol works best for this? I use to be on Depo and I did not have any break through bleeding. As it looks right now my Aunt Flow is set to arrive on my wedding day...well not if I have anything to do with it. I am going to the doctor tomorrow to get a prescription for birth control and was wondering if anyone has any input on this topic.
Thanks

i know my sister skipped her period with birth control and she didn't leak or anything. i've never done it myself though. she asked her doctor if she could do it though and she said it was fine as long as she didn't do it often or for too long.

I skip periods due to medical reasons. As for the kind of pill to use I am having pretty good success with the Lo/Ovral right now.

Check with your dr to make sure that it is safe for you to do. I know that the issue of skipping periods in general is a hot topic for debate that will continue to rage for some time to come.

My Gyno recommends Seasonale pretty highly. You take the active hormone pills for 3 months and then stop taking them for a week. So you only have 4 periods a year.

playing fast and loose with trying to avoid periods can really end up with problems, good luck
