fraternal twins are the result of two different eggs being fertilized by two different sperm cells. the resulting twins may be either same or different sex. they will each have their own seperate dna because they formed from different cells.
identical twins result from one egg being fertilized by one sperm and the cell divides and forms two embryo. these twins will share identical dna and be the same sex because they formed from the same fertilized egg. when the fertilized egg splits but doesn't complete the split, then conjoined or "siamese twins" or formed.

Fraternal Twins: Two eggs, in the womb at the same time, being fertilized by the sperm of the man.
Identical Twins: One egg, split in half, fertilized by the sperm of a man.
Whether twins be fraternal, or identical, they are individual people, with their own unique personalities, etc.

2 separate eggs that are fertilized. Identical twins are a single egg that splits. Fraternal twins are just like any 2 other siblings, they can be any combo of male/female. Identical are always same gender. You can go to any dictionary or wikipedia or any search engine and find this out.

Fraternal Twins arise from 3 separate eggs being fertilized by 2 separate sperm. Both embryos develop at the same time within a single womb. They can be same sex or opposite (idenitical arise from a single fertilized egg splitting and developing, they can only be of the same sex.)
