I always heard it was a single red rose. Giving a dozen roses is cool, but a single rose seems to have more meaning.

i would suggest a single red rose, a big bouquet would just look like you're trying too hard. and sometimes that's a turn off. i guess it depends on the person you're giving it to. is less more to this person?

what shows more love is that you actually show up. buying a big bouquet is very expensive and you don't want to to that all the time but even supermarkes have little bouquets now that are relatively simple and inexpensive
