I wouldn't base the child's name on possible future teasing- Kids are mean and will seek out something to tease him for anyway, so even the most normal name in the world won't protect him from being teased. I also disagree with the theory that the whole Harry Potter thing is going to die down. How long did Nancy Drew capture hearts and imaginations? It's a great name. Use it.

technically, "sirius" has nothing to do with harry potter. it is a real name actaully, for a star & other poeple have had that name before harry potter ever existed. it isnt a common name though, so your kid would have a more fancy name then the regular johns & marks & stuff like that which we really dont need more of right now. lol
we need new names in our race or at least uncommon ones that not many people share so go ahead & call your kid sirius...if its a girl try maybe...siriusia..or siriusha (& call her "sha" or "sha-sha" for short lol) somthing like that anyway...

Ah, properly, it particularly isn't probable a query concerning to the call, is it? The kitten does not understand what its call potential, regardless. Trixie, workstation, Missy, Rekcuf are all an analogous to it. And in case you probably did not ingredient out that it replace right into a profanity, spelled backwards, maximum folk does not hardship to think of something of it. Rekcuf, suggested "Recuff," is in simple terms style of wierd and lovable, not vulgar. however the care and feeding of the animal is needed, and if that isn't going to be interior the kitten's suited interest, you may intrude there. forget approximately the call. it particularly is the well being and well being of the animal. As to your involvement with "those men," that seems to be beside the point. in case you rather care concerning to the kitten's well being, then you could intrude. be certain that it particularly is receiving adequate and appropriate nutrition. be certain that it particularly is going to be saved previous the stupid and goofy few months of dorm existence. In different words, in case you prefer a properly-socialized, healthful cat, come would, you have not made a great determination. Act now. Be in charge. Be kinder.

You want to name a child "serious" - cause thats how it is prounounced and the closest real name is Sirus which is a radio station and the name of the dog star.
It would be ridiculous to name your child that - why dont you tell the next 6 people you meet your name is Cinderella and see the looks on thier faces because thats what you would be doing to your child!

The bright blue-white star in the constellation Canis Major (one of Orion's two hunting dogs). At a distance of only 8.6 light years (relatively close, astronomically speaking), Sirius is the brightest star in the night sky.

I would not have known that it was from Harry Potter if you hadn't said anything.
But even still, I am not fond of it. It's got a strange sound.
It's not terrible, though. You could do worse!
