I have a really nice pair of black leather knee high boots and i want to wear them. But i find when i go out i usually get hot from dancing and coz there are so many people so i end up wearing a short skirt or nice shorts with heels and a nice top. But now i want to wear these boots and i think putting them with shorts or a short skirt and i fairly revealling top would be too skanky but long pants are too hot. Any suggestions ?

yeah, I think skanky-ness is based on how much skin you're showing, and how tasteful/ trendy your outfit is. The Pussycat Dolls are almost hitting that skanky fine line. With the boots, try an off-the-shoulder long sleeve sweater-dress, or you can wear them with miniskirts, but wear colored/ textured stockings or tights underneath.

Mid to longer length skirt would look nice. A little more conservative than a short mini-skirt and would help tone down what sound like some awsome boots. :-)
My vote ... a mid-length black leather skirt with long sleeve top (a white blouse maybe). :-)

I would wear them over some nice jeans, make sure that the top is not too revealing.
