Eventually, yes.

The U.S., like all empires, will fall, due to greed, apathy, arrogance and shortsightedness. We only care about getting our crap cheaper and cheaper at Wal-Mart, to the benefit of China where workers are happy to make our cheap crap for 50 cents an hour.

We sit back and allow CEO's of companies to make 500 times what the average worker makes. The stockholders still expect double digit returns, so companies outsource the IT and service jobs to India for 1/10 of the salary of an American worker.

All the while the media tells us everything is fine as long as we keep buying crap, and of course Bush is keeping us safe...

What's the procedure to immigrate to India? ;)

Both India and China are indeed becoming more wealthy and will have a much bigger say in future world affairs.

China is the worlds longest running unbroken civilisation now about 3000 years old. A highly advanced country with no plans for world domination. China is a leading member of the United Nations.

Historically, India is also a highly advanced civilisation and has the world's oldest and longest lasting religion, Hinduism, now about 10,000 years old. India is also the world's largest [greatest] democracy.

Both nations belong to the nuclear club and are technologically highly advanced. Check your PC and see if it was made in China. Many are.

What's the favourite dish of the British? Chicken tikka masala, a variation of an Indian curry dish invented in England by an Indian chef.

yes and the world would be more peaceful i dont know about america though china at the moment is reached a position where conflict with america will cause america to get way more injuries than china. specially economically most of the corporation american will be on the hospital beds to say or in the ICU because of american dependance on chinese products
india is a different story securing freindships all over the world except for pakistan but indias rise would be more secure tahn china in certain ways
americas fall is starting already fueled by it controversial foreign policy that is making more enemies than freinds

spent a few months in each 2 years ago

they can't even run them selves.

just because someone is gaining GDP doesn't mean anything.

our GDP is still greatly huge and even twice of that of second place japan.

i never understood what the hype is about just because a bunch of low wage jobs get propped up every where in those countries.

those places have a very very long way top go to even get into the standard america and western europe is.

now, america being dragged down to thier level, that is a different story........

Yup. In fact- China & India will be duking it out for world supremacy in about 15 to 20 years. I'm hedging my bets on China (they're bigger & more aggressive)- so I'm taking "Chinese For Dummies". -With Hindi as a second language! :)

I would say ...No. Those countries have too little influence for one thing. Another thing is the vast differences in culture among various regions. This will ensure that there is always some conflict that will prevent a "world wide" government.
