Yes, the Hotel Del Coronado is tops, but you'll definitely pay Top Dollar there! Try something more moderately priced along Mission Bay such as the Catamaran Hotel on Mission Boulevard. Right on the bay with great views and plenty of amenities. You can walk across the street to Mission Beach and the Boardwalk and lots of solid restaurants and shops.

the Hotel Del or anywhere in Coronado, or La Jolla, I've lived in SD for 11 years and these are the nicer beach communities. Have fun on your Honeymoon. =)
