WEST INDIES WAS BEATEN BY INDIA IN HERO CUP IN 1993.
India scored 7/225 in their 50 overs; West Indies succumbed to 123 all out in 40.1 overs thanks to a magical spell of 6/12 by Anil Kumble.

Indiawon against the dangerous West Indies to win the hero cup in 1993. The finals were held in Eden Garden in Kolkata and the Prince of Kolkata Sourav Ganguly had contributed 92 runs out of Indias 225 runs with loss of 9 wickets. In bowling department Srinath had picked up the most 4 wickets due to which West Indies were all out in 21.2 overs making 119 runs. Thus India won the hero cup series 3-2.
