I am looking for some good ideas on themes, decorations, gifts, favors, etc...

Here are some ideas:

Themes: Baby Safari, Duckies, Classic Pooh, Butterflies, Dragonflies, Cars Planes & Trains, Froggies, Ladybugs
(Obviously some are for boys, some for girls and some would work for either!!)

Decorations: Get a stork for the front yard (a local company may actually rent these out)....personalize it with baby's name and/or parents' name. Very cute!! Balloons are nice. Streamers are great, too! Decorate the gift table with a diaper cake (I make these, by the way, I put the link below). Arrange the food in a decorative way. Have a comfortable chair for momma out just for her. Have great baby-related songs playing low on the stereo.

Gifts: Registering is always nice....this way people know what mom needs. Also make sure your invite matches the colors mom likes for the nursery, etc....some people may use the invite as a guide when picking out gifts. A diaper cake is a great gift!!! Have a diaper door prize....each person that brings a pack of diapers gets entered into a raffle,. The winner could get a NICE gift certificate (diapers are expensive!!!).

I think the best 2 things I did at my baby shower that I would advice anyone to do is play the baby food game. Its when you have all of the participates taste like 5 or6 different kinds of baby food and give them paper and pen and let them try to guess what kind it is.....It also makes for good picture for memories and the other thing is...Get a notebook a cute one and write on the outside of it "Advice for Mommy" and have everyone who attends to write you a piece of advice....Makes for a good keepsake and u get some really funny advice too....
