They are getting into the grooves between each blind. It almost looks like honeycomb.

I have found that ant baits work the best because the ants think they have found food and take it to the nest and it kills them all! Both Raid and Combat brands offer baits for about $7+, I think. Unfortunately you might have to find the right kind of bait for the type of ants you have, but once you see that the ants are going in and out of the baits it's only 1-3 days and their entire nest is poisoned!
My husband thinks that I take too much pleasure in poisoning an entire ant nest, but I figure once they have invaded MY space, they're asking for it! ;)
