What are fashionable garments? I bet you would be thinking more about ladies outfit here. Do you mean - miniskirts, low cut blouses, backless tops, revealing outfits etc.?
Peopel wear what they are comfortable with. Also they take due care that they are not looked down by the crowd. That's it. I mean, just because someone walks down the ramp in a green suit and red tie, doesn't mean that I should wear it too (I'd rather feel like a parot).
Clear your concepts of fashion. What's on ramps is not fasion, but what serves your purpose at the occasion is...
