Why won't my social securty number print in the box?

I am filling an application for The burn lounge.They asked that my social security number be put in ***** but it won't take.if i use the real number it won't take.What am i doing worng?

it might be for security reasons you do not want hackers to get hold of your SS numbers it's called identity theft

Either for security reasons within the website or because you are using the dashes between the number. Most sites require that you don't use the dashes.
