I have to write about impoverished neighborhood,what should i include iny essay, can some one give me some brainstorm ideas.thanks

Depends on how in depth you go. If you are covering it from times of plenty to it's current impoverishment then you will need to discuss the reasons why. Loss of manufacturing jobs to overseas, middle class flight, immigrants moving in, corruption in local government, increase in crime/drugs/alcohol/red light business. You get the idea.

Now if the essay is a 'picture' of the present only...then it is pretty simple...just go take a look at the neighbor hood and note how many sleazy businesses there are (businesses that cater to prurient interests of people), note how many people are just hanging around or loitering, note how many legit businesses are closed up and empty, note the condition of homes and yards, note police stats for crime in that area, note the number of single parent families in the area, note the average educational and income level of the residents of the area. Note the amount of public infrastructure available to residents (swimming pools, parks, zoos, museums, etc.)

This should give you a starting point to work from.
