You don't say HOW you connect to the internet. Are you using dial-up (AOL, etc.)? Then that's your problem. Time to look for a cable connection.
Already using a cable connection and still have a slow connection? Time to close some of those programs running in the background that you don't need while surfing the net.
I'm hoping that you have AT LEAST 512 mb of RAM on your machine. More is obviously better.
Good luck.

ok, are you on dial-up or DSL? how fast is your connection, you can go to http://www.bandwidthplace.com/speedtest/ and choose your location , now if your bandwidth is good, then its your internet explorer that might be causing the problem.
try doing this step to clear your history and cache files
open IE
go to Tools> internet options>delete cookies>click ok > delete cache> click ok . go to advance click on restore default> then click apply.
if this still doesnt work try this
press start> run> type cmd > the D.O.S window should open type this as it appears here ping www.yahoo.com
this will see if there is any problem going to that site
then still on the D.O.S
type tracert www.yahoo.com
this will check where the connection is slowing down , if it is on your side or the website ( you can use a different website to ping or trace, depending if that is the website you are having problems with connecting to)
hope this helps . . . . . =)

Get rid of spy ware and clean out the junk files.
http://www.avast.com/eng/programs.html This is a free down load ,It found the win 32 zolb Trojan the first time I ran it.
http://www.ccleaner.com/ This one will get all of YOUR junk files.
http://www.comodo.com/products/free_products.html This will keep the stuff off in the first place.
http://www.majorgeeks.com/Ad-Aware_SE_Personal_d506.html For the ad ware.
I had the Trojans for 3 weeks and spy bot search and destroy didn't' y detect it .I was running zone labs wireless fire wall and Yahoo on line security at the time. It would be a good idea to run your defragment utility. And scandisk.

This works on my computer. If you have a PC, go to history and make the side bar with your history pop up. Right click the folder with the days on them, and click delete. But if you have a MAC, go to history, and click clear history. Then reload the page for both of them. Or you might need some more RAM, I would suggest Kingston RAM, I found it easy to install.

Depends on your ISP. Do you have a fast connection with them? Maybe you could call them and speed it up?
