Ummm no. He came in as Mr. McMahon was going to announce the special guest referee. Foley said he was there for an eating contest at a local bar-b-que place. Then McMahon got all excited because his son came out, Vince thought he was the guest ref. No such luck. It ended up being Stone Cold.
Foley is still under contract with McMahon just like Stone Cold and Hogan. I am sure there are others, but these are fan favorites. McMahon isn't going to loose money by not having them under some kind of contract. I heard that Hogan has a new contract for something like another 20 years.

he was never fired from wwe in real life but in storylines yes he did get fired
but no he didnt made his comback he was just there to promote his new book
