A president in the making perhaps. Their pedigree's could communicate on the same level, their families were both encouraging the arrangement and the future was too tempting to ignore. So now they can snuggle in the White House just as the powers that be pushed and schemed for.

The same thing that we each saw in our prospective spouses. Just because you don't find someone endearing doesn't mean that other person doesn't love them. They say there is someone for everyone out there and they seem very happy in their relationship.
