Bottled water usually expires in two years. If you buy the gallon sized bottles, they usually have a date on them. I would advise you not to drink expired water. ESPECIALLY if its been opened before. You could get diarrhea and vomiting.

If water has been opened, then tiny food particles or dust left behind starts to rot the water and make it smell funky. Sldo, if the bottle isnt opened, after a while the plastic in the bottle can affect the water.

Toxic from the bottle will pollute the water. But i never drink those expired water though so i dont know. Besides those water will vanished by the heat of my head.

its mind boggling isn't it? Some people think it's done because of the plastic melts into the water but that's not true. It's most likely a marketing strategy to con you into buying more water bottles.

after a while, the plastic in the bottle leaks into the water and can get to be really toxic.

No...it doesn't...it's water. It evaporates and disappears after a standing around for a while.
