“"The name of American, which belongs to you, in your national capacity, must always exalt the just pride of Patriotism.... It should be the highest ambition of every American to extend his views beyond himself, and to bear in mind that his conduct will not only affect himself, his country, and his immediate posterity; but that its influence may be co-extensive with the world, and stamp political happiness or misery on ages yet unborn." --George Washington”

Also, be aware of how u conduct yourself and the actions you take because it reflects on all Americans. We should all help each other carry ourselves with pride think of others, because our children will one day see our actions in history.
What you do affects how other nations view us, too.

as americans, it is our duty to praise and defend our country. we must refrain from saying or doing anything that will be shame upon ourself and our country. by doing so, it shows our pride in america and our patriotism for a nation we want to brag and boast about.
