Yes,I would think you could still get pregnant. Why wouldn't you still use condoms anyway?!?

Pregnancy is your only concern? I hope you're in a stable relationship... in this day and age of things like AIDS, I'd think ppl would be more worried about that. Even if you are on other birth control, like the pill, still use a condom if you're not sure about your partners HIV status. It can prevent a plethora of other STDs as well.
My periods were just as irregular as yours. Two weeks, then ten days, then a month. Go get it checked out, there could be something wrong... if it's not then you should consider going on the pill for a while (six months) to regulate your periods. Sometimes, they will stay regular for a good while after going off B/C.
As for getting pregnant if your period is irregular... yes you can.
You know your body best, and only you will know if you ever wait longer than a certain amount of days to get a period. Maybe you get one ever 14 - 35 days, but you've never had a cycle lasting 40 days... if you go over the longest time you've ever had to wait to get a period, then it's probably safe to do a test - that's how I did it anyway.

Because your irregular periods ya it can make it harder to know when to test.. The best thing for ya would be to go to the doctor for they can tell you sooner than a pregnancy test would or you can just wait it out... My periods are irregular and what I do when I question it is I either go to the doc or I wait for my next period.. Even with irregular periods you may not know what day it will start but usually for some you at least know what area of the month it should be to give you an idea..

Yes, you could still get pregnant with an irregular period. You have a couple of options though. A lot of women with irregular periods take the Pill to regulate their periods. You could also use a basal thermometer (which is different from a regular thermometer but sold alongside them in any drugstore) to determine when you're ovulating. You could use one of those ovulation test kits too, but the basal thermometer would be less expensive by far. That way, you may be able to determine a pattern to your ovulation.

I have irregular periods due to Endomitriosis. This is a disorder that makes getting pregnant difficult and often causes polyps and fibroid tumors in the uterus, often leading to needing a hysterectomy. If you have irregular periods - make sure to get checked by your Gynecologist.
Meanwhile - there is ALWAYS a risk of pregnancy (and naturally, sexually transmitted diseases) without a condom, even with irregular periods.
My experience with endomitriosis has included times when my body registered a tumor as a child and included a phantom pregnancy. Again - talk to your doctor.
Good luck, hon. --De

Why would the possibility of becoming pregnant be your only concern when it comes to not using a condom? ALWAYS USE A CONDOM!
As for your irregular periods, see a gynecologist. Going on the Pill should help them become more regular.

my periods are irregular and i thought it would be difficult to get pregnant but I got pregnant after one month. The dr told me that you can get pregnant easily when your periods are irregular because you never know when you are ovulating..be careful and use protection if you don't want to get pregnant. I got a positive result after 30 some days after my last period.....good luck!!

You can still conceive w/ irregular periods. You just need to know when YOU are fertile.
I highly recommend charting your fertility signs. Your chart can tell you when you are fertile, when you are not, when you are ovulating, when to expect your next period, and when to suspect pregnancy. Your chart can also tell you if there are issues delaying conception or causing difficulty w/ carrying a pregnancy and if there are serious issues which need a doc's attention. Your charts can also be used to AVOID pregnancy, if you choose.
Some good sources for charting your fertility signs: Fertilityfriend.com (free software as well as a pay-for version and on-line charting turorial); ovusoft.com (discussion boards for many fertility related issues, much info on fertility after the pill, and a very good software for purchase). The books Taking Charge of Your Fertility (associated w/ the the ovusoft website and software), The Art of Natural Family Planning, and Garden of Fertility

If your period is irregular you can still get pregnant. Most people not all will have no period when they are pregnant, breast tenderness, extreme tiredness, nausea, light headedness, smells are alot more noticable exp: you can no longer stand the smell of your bf cologne, perfume, etc... If you experience any of these I would get a PG test.

An irregular period can be iron deficiency or hormones,.... or something serious. What you should be doing is going to a doctor, I didn't for too long and had to fight cancer for 5 years. What a pain in the ***, and scary, just watched my friends back away in fear. Go to the doctor, then worry about having sex, your partner will thank you too.

well, you can get pregnant ANY time, yes. I guess, you will have to start feeling other symptoms to suspect pregnancy. and why don't you consult a doctor abt your irregular periods? you can get on the pill to make your period regular, and for birth control, too.
