I enjoy going to Giant baseball games. Even if you are not a baseball fan you will enjoy yourself because the views from the stadium are amazing. Also go to the Mission District and they have some awesome shops and restaurants.

Haight St. and Hippie Hill on a nice Sunday afternoon. Clubbing South of Market on Saturday. Taking in a Giants game. Golden Gate Park walk. Rent a bike and ride across the Golden Gate Bridge. SFMOMA. Legion of Honor. Aquatic Park. Muir Woods. Take the Ferry to Sausalito and have some seafood. Vallejo Steps. Filbert Steps. Macondray Lane. Equinox Restaurant.
Check out Crocker Plaza rooftop. It's free and has a great city feel.

The parks in San Francisco are awesome and they provide tons of great activities. You can also swing by the San Francisco Zoo or the Aquariums. Golden Gate park offers Paddle Boating at Stow Lake which is always fun. You can also make some pottery or visit build a bear. There are also a bunch of great museums if you're into the arts.

depends on what your personal interests are. if you like museums - check out the deyoung. if you like running - go to golden gate park, one of the most scenic runs in the bay. biking on the golden gate bridge is fun. visit the marina and just hang out there. go to one of the breakfast spots or lunch and bask in good weather esp now it's been great. people watch, go shopping. if you want major shopping, spend a day at union square. go to tom's cookies at the bottom of macy's and enjoy the best cookies around. i personally like the hustle and bustle in the richmond where the best cheapest dim sum is. if you want more urban sites, go to the metreon and catch a movie and your starbucks. so much to do...the possibilities are endless!

I'd do the museums if I were you. There are so many - all of them beautiful, teach us a lot of history and most of them aren't too expensive. If you have a student ID, they give you good discounts, some of them also give you additional discounts if you show ticket that you took public transportation to the museum.
My favorite ones are: the Legion of Honor (http://www.legionofhonor.org/), the Museums of Fine Arts (http://www.thinker.org/), and Asian Art Museum (http://www.asianart.org/). You can also do Museum of Modern Art (http://www.sfmoma.org/), and Exploratorium (http://www.exploratorium.edu/).
Enjoy!
