This usually happens. There's a fine line between love and hate. You "hate" this guy so much that you actually find yourself thinking about him constantly. Maybe he feels the same way? Try to see if he gives you any hints.

You know how when you were little and playing on the playground, the boys would either do one of 2 things: they'd either ignore you or pick on you.

Now, take that into adult life. You are a grown adult, or close to it. You've heard the quote 'There's a thin line between love and hate', you're experiencing it now. When you concentrate your energies onto someone for a certain amount of time, you then become attached to this someone. It's kind of like when the Joker goes off on a crime spree and if Batman ignores him. He's going to be peeved if not hurt. It's the connection between two people.

Now think about the playground thing again. I find myself doing this in my adult life. People I pick on I consider friends. If I ignore them, they are not of importance to me. Tough love.

All it is, in my opinion, is that you spend so much time loathing this person, that your mind is making connections that you don't want it to make.

They say there's a fine line between love and hate. When someone piques your emotions, it can go in different directions. If you're going to pursue it, though, drop the hostility. Constant strife in a relationship is no fun.
