Okay, here's the deal: I'm a fifteen-year-old girl. I started thinking I might not be straight when I was twelve (young, yes), and since then, nothing has happened to make me think I'm straight, or even bi. I've made out with two girls, and liked it. The boys I've dated have freaked me out - I didn't even let them hug me. As far as images go, only women turn me on. I get girly fashion magazines, and I never look at any of the "sexy" guys because they don't interest me. I've had feelings for at least four of my girl-friends. I dream, fantasize, etc. about girls. But people say I'm too young to know. I just can't imagine that all of these feelings could change.

So. Tell me what you think. Could all of this just be hormones raging in my teenage body? Or am I actually gay? Or could I be bi, and my feelings for men just haven't manifested?

And anyone who comes in here and says being gay is sick/wrong/sinful... I pity you. Homophobia is basically the same as racism.

Oh yes, it's all my parents' fault. They have warped and corrupted me, me oh my....

You can bash me all you want, but you better not bring my parents into this.

your story seems to consistently point to you being lesbian. if you have felt this way for three years and if your feelings have not wavered at all, then this is not a phase. 15 is young, but is likely old enough to realize your true feelings.

the fact that you made out with girls and liked it was a good experiment for you.

sexual orientation covers three major things: sexual attraction, emotional attraction, and a desire to be romantically involved in a committed partnership. you seem to want all three with women and women only.

it also sounds like you have zero of these feelings for guys.

you don't need to be in a rush to label yourself lesbian, but i would suggest that at 15, you are old enough to start dating other girls and take it from there.. don't feel you have to rush into anything sexual with them. the kissing and making out is good.

at 15, you are definitely not too young to have your feelings manifested. most people discover their first crushes when they are 10-12.

the fact that you still have no interest in guys, well, that's a clear sign to me.

anyway, focus on the girls and see how things go. but at the same time, don't be afraid to give a guy a chance. friendship-first is always a good way to go. if you can't become friends with someone, then chances are they won't make a good relationship partner.

but yah, i think you are a lesbian, and hey, that is great. nothing wrong with that..

Hey sweety, trust me, you're old enough to know what you like and what you don't.

Do you like onions? Do you like broccoli?
If you can answer that, then babe, you're old enough.
I mean, if you know a girl turns you on and a guy doesn't... if you fantasize about girls...

My girlfriend had her first girlfriend @ 13. And that was a LONG time ago... so, why should it be any different now?

I, on the other hand was a late bloomer. My first girlfriend was @ 17. Before that I dated guys, and it was never right, I felt trapped and annoyed, I didn't get what all the fuss was about. Then, one day I discovered myself and its been great.

Its your life, so its YOUR choice. The only thing I would warn you about is to be truly sure, don't go with it because its "cool" or because other girls tell you to, do whatever FEELS RIGHT.

hope everything turns out great...

Anyone who says your too young to know is either 1) clearly retarted, or 2) getting their so-called "facts" from biased media. The fact is you can know your sexuality as young as 5 years old. I'm a straight guy. I knew I was attracted to girls when I was 5 and in kindergarden. I'd even fantasize about cute girls on TV shows. I still remember the shows as well as each girl I had a crush on.

You sound pretty gay to me. Everything you said was typical behavior I had and still have about girls.

Yes, that's what it looks like. It took me 16 years to realize I was gay. In the fifth grade, I started "liking" boys but I think that was just a status thing. When I was younger, I was a tomboy, always played the boy in dressup, tried to slick my hair back like James Bond- but I was confused. In middle school I wanted a boyfriend but found myself staring at girls, in an interested sort of way. In ninth and tenth my parents had me brainwashed, I didn't know what I wanted, I thought being gay was a sin but finally junior year I was absolutely in love with this girl on a sports team with me, in love-not lust. It takes some people longer than others to realize, it's a good thing you already know. Yeah, i'd say you're a lesbian, embrace it.

I was 14 when I started dating the love of my life..and I'm still with her, 4 years later. There is never a wrong age to discover your orientation...it happens differently with everyone. I didn't really know if I was gay or straight until I fell in love with my girlfriend. Everything happens in time..so take your time and experiment. Hehe.

It sounds like you're gay. And yes, you can know from that young of an age. I knew when I was 12. About a decade later not much has changed.

Seems like you are gay if you dont really find any attraction to men. Sometimes I wonder if I'm only bi because I'm a young adult with a lot of hormones. *shrugs*

Hey, you. Listen up.

I knew I liked guys at the age of 10. So no I don't think you are too young to know. You are probably very sure of yourself and that's fine. I love men and I bet you like women about as much as I like guys.

Yeah, I think it sounds like you're gay. I knew at age 11. But if you're still experimenting, then by all means let yourself experiment, and be open to whatever you are: gay, bi, straight, trans, curious, etc.

I was born Bi. I was REALLY confused for a very long time. I didn't see the difference between men and women other than physiological. Maybe you are gay but don't get too far ahead of yourself. Enjoy your teen years.
