I remember making these for key chains using two colored plactic laces, but I can't remember how to do it for the life of me. I know it's overlapping them and all but I really can't figure out the start and the end.

I can't explain that very good, But our Wal-Mart has a kit in the craft section. It has instructions and 6 colors of plastic strings.

For and updated version of the same craft, all the kids today are using colored jute or kemp, twine. The use all soets of patterns and make necklaces and bracelet, and key chains. Like the kind at American Eagle. My son does it and learned it in one day. Sold them at school for ten dollars. Became very popular too.

Bead magazine has ideas in there.

The plastic lace is called Lanyard. It is available at WalMart, JoAnn's, etc...

the project is called lanyard you vcan buy it at any craft store or even at wal mart and it will come with picture instructions
