No, I don't think he's a bad person.
I do think he is immature, naive and a egomaniac but so is 90% of the NBA.
Having the spotlight, fame and money thrown at a kid at such a young age creates this unrealistic image of the world. A lot of the players think the world revolves around them and Shaq being the biggest thinks he's king.
One thing is, Shaq is always entertaining, the NBA needs characters and he is surely one of them. Gilbert isn't far behind in the ego department either.

no,how many players do you think would be in the police force when their playing careers are over?? what is ur basis for saying he is bad?
as for the dribbling exhibition and the dancing in the all star game, the game is a showcase of the best players and a day for the fans,if you cant appreciate the kind of entertainment shaq brings, you aren't a fan

Yeah he is, and was for the game of basketball.
Those Laker 2000 championship teams were insulting to the game. The "hack a shack" or "hack a oaf" strategery was painful to watch. Then we get to watch this jerk brick the free throws. Yawn, can we get golf on? This guy was a giant athlete, not a basketball player. No skills, none.
Consider how spoiled we were with the 1980 s Lakers championship teams. Those teams earned those titles. We got to see Magic vs The Doctor, Magic vs Larry and even Worthy vs The Bad Boys. Those were hard earned wins and as a fan these are the kind you really appreciate.
Now consider what this POS O Neal deprived us of...
2000 Miller vs Bryant
2001 Iverson vs Bryant
2002 sorry I cant even tell you who the 3rd team was because I didn t watch it.
I feel bad for Reggie Miller and Alan Iverson, especially Iverson who is the exact opposite of O Neal. Iverson is 6 ft tall and barely 170 pounds, yet he was the best player in the league that year. He had more guts than any other player. He won because of skill, guts and heart. Everything that O Neal is not.
***2006 Miami game 5 bail out. Josh Howard stopped Wade at the end to win that game. NOPE they gave the Heat the free throws to win that game. Howard deserves a ring. I hope Cuban realizes that.
Big Thanks to the Admiral, Pop and the rest of the 2003 Spurs, ( - Steve Kerr).
Big Thanks to Larry Brown and the 2004 Pistons, who finally put the NBA out of its misery by finally beating the Phil Jackson Lakers and ending the worst era in basketball.
Shame on that POS Steve Kerr who, by himself, killed the Suns by bringing in O Neal for their best player Shawn Marion. Great job GM Kerr. Kerr like O Neal another 1 dimensional player, who could do nothing but shoot. A forward who can not rebound is not a forward. A guard who can not dribble is not a guard.
Shame on the Cavs and Celtics for attempting to resurrect the worst era in hoops history by bringing in O Neal to stop progress.
Shame on TNT for taking a great panel and making it redundant.
Shame on you O Neal for being on the TNT panel. Not needed there Charles does that job better than anyone.
Shame on me for not being in the NBA and giving you a much needed knuckle sandwich.

And you're asking this now, why? Because you think he influenced wades decision to come back or what? ..What has he done recently that is "bad"? ...Nothing that i know of. Or are you referring to feud with kobe...and im pretty sure that most people will agree that that was kobe's fault.
So, no. He is not "bad". Unless you know something he's done that I don't.
Also, if you see him in interviews he's probably one of the nicest guys in the league, all i see him do is joke around.

I don't think so. It is the NBA and everyone should have their own attitudes as an individual especially the superstar. He is not overrated. Think carefully, all players who played against him know he is an unstopable force in the middle (except the FT of course!). Try take him one on one in the paint!
