For the unaware---yes, this question has been posted repeatedly by multiple users as part of a loosely organised protest against Yahoo's failure to address harassment via misuse of the "report abuse" function.

Perfectly decent and enjoyable people have had accounts deleted simply because one or another malcontent has decided to repeatedly and maliciously file unwarranted reports of abuse. Yahoo seems to accept such reports at face value and punishes the user being reported rather than the harasser.

We who protest want this issue to be properly addressed, and we repost this question repeatedly in order to make our feelings known.

I might also suggest that interested parties visit the Yahoo! Answers Suggestions page, where such subjects are being discussed regularly:

Read Orwell's 1984. At the end, they explain that the purpose of tyrannies IS to cause misery and distress.

No, they don't.

The worse part about their "violations" scheme is that it's COMPLETELY capricious. There's NO logic to it at all. They delete one post, but leave another that's the same just above or below it. They don't delete half the crap that should be deleted and they delete and punish people for harmless fun.

It's the penultimate of idiocy and a disgrace to reason, logic and fairness.

Only if you let it bother you. I got my first two three days ago for generic crap. Someone asked John wayne gasey or Jeffery and I said lets feed them to something and poof here come the letter.

LivingDeadFooFoo has obviously missed something, even though they have been doing this all day...

I am LivingDeadFooFoo's inflamed sense of rejection...

They don't understand it nor do they see how unjust it is. Too many good people are getting violations!
