As statistics show over 60% of the US population is overweight, does anyone else notice an increasing double standard when it comes to skinny people, particularly women? I see more insulting comments about very thin people than overweight people these days. It's not pc to make fun of overweight people, but skinny is ok? Are they not opposite extremes of the same problem? Is being overweight just becoming the norm? Many men I know seem to like women who are not just average, but actually overweight, over a slim girl. Are standards changing to accomodate the majority? Fashion designers have already fed egos with their vanity sizing, forcing smaller women into children's sections. I'm interested to hear some other people's opinions on this

possibly as a results of fact being skinny is extra suited, and persons who're obese have extra physique photograph matters, so it could be extra impolite to tell an obese individual to "positioned down that chicken leg" as you stated. yet i don't get it the two, as a results of fact i'm advantageous that super skinny human beings have problems with physique photograph too, otherwise they does no longer be THAT skinny.

I can't stand to hear women fret about their weight. I am fine with up to about 140 I'd say. I don't think I've been attracted to gals much over that. Don't know why. I am glad I married a naturally thin gal - not so much because she's thin per se - but because I don't have to hear the fretting.

Men prefer what they personally like, so i dont think you can say that they all like larger girls.

Its unhealthy to be overweight as it is to be underweight.

I dont think at all society has double standards, how many larger models do you see on catwalks etc, there's still a thing out there that skinny is beautiful. Hopefully one day it wont be like that

I think that if your not skinny, people wont like you as much. I am seeing a lot of guys going for the average girls because most of them don't like anerexic girls and they don't like overweight girl either.
