my whole healing process from my last c-section seems like it took FOREVER! i knew a woman who said after 4 csections it got easier each time and that her scar got smaller. hhhhhmmmmm i dont know about that......i am just scared of going through 4 months before i could even stand up straight again, like last time. id rather be enjoying my newborn than popping pills for pain. anyone with a similar experience or stories that will ease my mind??

4 months to heal last time and be able to stand????
Did you have a emergency C-section?
Ok you know to take your vitamins. But ask your doctor if you can have more C and B6 or 12.
Are you allergic to latex? That makes healing time longer.
Try a lowering your sugar intake and breads and spaghetti. You know what I mean. The real bad carbs that turn to sugar. I read this in section two of my Mayo clinic health book. ( Never tried this myself)
As for the other women and it becoming smaller...Maybe they did reconstruction on the 4th one.
Good luck Hun.

Wow 4 months!? I can't believe that. I had an incisional hemotoma with my C-section (have had just 1) for 6 weeks, and had to wear a maxi-pad on the incision and stuff gauze in it twice a day. It was the worst thing ever. At first I thought the whole incision came apart. I have a friend who had 2 C sections and said the 2nd was easier because it was planned and the healing went much faster than the first. I hope your second goes well. When my son was first born I said I didn't want anymore kids because of the terrible experience but now I do!

I have just had the same thing. It's been just over 3 months and I am still a little sensitive. My mother in law had 3 c-sections in 5 years and she said it got better except the scar was a bit itcy.
For the person who answered that natural births heal faster,
My baby was delivered by emergency c-section. Most of us that have ceasers don't choose to.

i really do think it is easier the second time around, i thinks its becasue you know what to expect and everything, it did take longer for me to recover from 1 c section. however it did not take me 4 months ( by 2 1/2 months i was playing soccer again). after my second c section....2 hours post suergery i walked to my wheel chair, 4 days i was walking normal, but in pain. by 1 1/2 i was fine and then over did it, and i ended up getting told to wait an addtional 6 weeks before i could do anything

You could talk with your doctor at your next visit. My csection didn't take that long to heal. I was back to normal, other than the numb feeling across the scar, after about two months.

I am a guy but I have experience of my 2 daughters, both got their 2 kids each by c-section. For both of them second c-section was much easier and faster healing. Good luck to you.

Realistically you heal as fast as you heal. Taking ascorbic acid can help. Each c-section increases the risks of adhesions which are painful for years, if not the rest of your life.
However a natural birth would heal faster.

i recommend u get up as soon as u can. i have had 4 c-sections and i have found that the sooner u get up and start moving around the less it hurts........don't get me wrong, it's still gonna hurt, but i found out that it hurts less. with my first, she was born at 7:22, i stayed in bed all night long and didn't get up til the next day and they had to give me morphine cause i hurt so bad, but with the following three, the pvc pump worked fine, and with my third and fourth, i had them take me off of the pump and was just taking vicodin by midnight of the day they were born
