She is waiting about an hour longer to wake up to eat but seems to be normal besides that. Her temp. is normal and we have been changing diapers as normal today. It is mostly just her cry.

My son went through the same sort of thing when he was a newborn. Initially his cry just seemed "normal" until after a couple of days it sounded scratchy and almost like a parrot screeching but quietly. I was worried that he was developing a breathing problem but fortunately it was nothing. We didn't even notice that he stopped crying that way.
It's sounds like you're looking out for all the right signs so just keep doing what you're doing!
Best wishes!

Some babies just have a different sounding cry. I would call the pediatrician just to put my mind at ease. Don't feel funny about calling them for any little thing. I did it ALL THE TIME! That's what they are there for and they expect it from a new mom! Just double check. I would say it's fine, though. I've heard babies with all different types of cries. Conratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy this time! It goes by soooooooooo quick!!!

If the cry sounds "weak" call your pediatrition and ask them, always go with your insinct. It's usually correct, even when you're a new mom. Good luck

No but you should be concerned if she doesn't cry at all. She needs to open her lungs and stuff.

She's fine. No need to worry.
