Not jealous but probably perplexed. I have no clue why Colbert is so popular...he delivers all his lines with this insincere tone of voice and he just seems so fake. Jon Stewart delivers the jokes perfectly and no matter what he says you can help but laugh and like the guy.

I don't think Jon Stewart is that jealous, because for one Jon was the one who made Steven Colbert famous in the first place by letting him on the Daily Show. Jon Stewart helped Colbert become famous, plus Jon was famous first. If Jon Stewart wasn't famous, he would have a reason to be jealous. =)

Stewart's a producer on the Colbert Report and the Daily Show still brings in more viewers, you're only hearing more about Colbert now because he's new, whereas the Daily Show is ten years old.

I'm not sure. They've always seemed like such good friends to me, however, I do know that one of the reasons Stephen left the Daily Show was because of "creative differences".
So, I'm sure just like any other friends, they have their differences sometimes.
