Yes, and very well I might add. I remember a story about Liszt playing the piano at parties. He could scan a piece of music he had never seen in seconds and play the entire composition from memory. Amazing.

I highly doubt it. Recordings became "mass produced" in the late 1890s through the turn of the century. It's a shame he just missed it, because I'm sure it would've been something. The closest we'll get is listening to his numerous student playing his style. Good question though, love Liszt.
