I prefer ZoneAlarm Security Suite, it has Firewall, virus blocker/scanner, spyware scanner, etc.. not sure if it will get rid of trojans or not.. I have a link to it on my webpage at http://www.tom-olsen.com/links.html and you can download a trial version... costs about $50 for a single computer.

The safe approach is to backup all of your files: document, sound files, image files, video files, spreadsheets, email, email addresses, and so on to a memory stick. Copy everything except executable programs.
Once everything is backed up. Install your operating system. You will want to choose the destructive install. This will wipe out all of the data and programs on your system. You will need to reinstall your applications as well.
Copy your files back into the system. This process is a good practice every several months anyway. You will see an improvement in system performance. Backing up the system will also help you in case your hard disk fails some time in the future.

Hi,
As you do not tell us the name of the trojan your computer got infected, we have to recommend you to go to the below links to download updates for visrus definitons for the Tren Micro version you are using. If you could not remove it automatically, then submit it to Trend Micro so that They will help you to manually remove it.

If you have anti-virus software like norton try rebooting your computer with the disc.
Also if you know what the virus is called you can go to Symantec's website and search for it there. it will tell you how to remove it. Some viruses block certain websites like symantec though so you may have to go there on a different computer.

Hi. Have you tried AdAware and Spybot? Or ewido? These will sometimes find and remove Trojans. Also try www.pcpitstop.com for their tests. Good luck!
