the first question i must ask is what did you do? next, i suggest downloading drivers as they may be the problem. look here:

go to hp web site order the recovery cd's ( 2 ) one for the operating system and one for the drivers. cost will be 45.00 dollars. this way if your laptop ever goes wrong, you can use these cd'd to put the laptop back to factory sent condition. i have a hp nc6000 business laptop and having these cd's is well worth the cost of 45.00 dollars.

Go to a computer repair person they useally charge 60 to 80 per hour tell them you need them to install all your drivers over again (tell them what system you are useing 95/98/2000/xp/vista)because something hapened to them and then they will fix it for you it shouldent take but an hour, one and a half at the most.

DOWNLOAD THE DRIVERS FROM THE HP WEBSITE !!!!!
I had to do this with my nc6000 laptop today, myself.
