"You have gone strangely quite, are you there?"

I think he might mean quiet as everybody says he's a ****head.

Should I just reply no?

Please take my advice, I was terminated from an excellent job on 2/13/07 because of so called emails. I would print a copy of this and document everything. Do not trust this person. I put my trust in the wrong person and lost a very good job. Please be careful. Good Luck..........

Well since you are there, I would reply Yes, I am here.

Maybe ask him what he means by his comment,"strangely quiet".

I wouldn't be that hard on him for a little mistake like that. Just say yes.
