has anyone watch the film called " born on the 4th of July "? what is it all about and what happened in it? please prrovide as much information as possible so that i can have a clearer image of what is it about? criticism is also acceptable...

Tom Cruise plays the part base on the actual events of one man. If I recall correctly, Cruise dedicated his Oscar to the man and thanked him for his help in making the movie.
I do not know how much of it was 100% accurate or true, Hollywood will change things from time to time.

It is about a young man who serves in the Army during the Vietnam war and what happens to him when he comes home. He is injured and is paralyzed. He is treated horribly by everyone around him. I can't give you the whole story....but he becomes a protester for the way the veterans are treated. It is a very serious film and very graphic. I don't suggest it for young kids at all but adults certainly and teens should see it. I won't tell any more. You should rent it or watch on TV and not expect people to tell you about it.

Tom Cruise is in it. He's in the Vietnam war and becomes an amputee. Like has already been stated, he protests the way vets are treated.
