NFL.. Every Home game during regular season has sold out the last 2 years. No blackouts, Revenue sharing. Highest rated advertising slots. Only 5 Moves in last 30 years. Expansion of 4 teams in last 10 years. Initial investment has turned over at least 10 million times. Their postings this year were in record numbers. Need I say more?

I'm going with the MLL. Never heard of it? It's Major League Lacrosse, the United State's outdoor lacrosse league. They have never had a team collapse and have to leave a current location, and every year the attendance of the league increases as they constantly add new teams in big markets like Denver and Chicago. In the previous season, league attendance records were broken by several of the new markets. (The Denver Outlaws did the most helping in that respect, breaking the record for biggest attendance with their first ever game.) The game is the fastest growing in America, with even the ignorant west coast taking note of it. The only way this league can go is up.

The NFL, MLB, and NBA, on the other hand, have rabid and moronic fans often times, which keeps some sport fans away. Baseball is the only sport where a 0-1 game and a 5-18 game can both be considered "Good Games". In Football, there are rarely surprises and only the occasional "underdog" really gets into the big stage. Basketball tries to sell itself as "cool" and "hip" while at the same time forcing its players to wear suits and being entierly inconsistant with the awful administration of the sport. (i.e. A man shoves another player into the floor, injuring him. He gets a minor foul. Another guy shoves someone else, and the other guy flails into the ref. He gets a 5 game suspension.) Hockey and Soccer (While two of my favorite sports) don't have the fanbase to let them call themselves growing sports, but have too large of a fanbase to consider minor sports. They are both simply stagnant in the sport-water. (Metaphorically speaking.)

So that leaves the AFL, the MLL, and the NLL, the only real major sports left. All 3 are gaining popularity every year, but the best example of shots of growth would have to be the MLL.

The NFL...Tradition has MLB as the national pasttime, but popularity says its the NFL...

BTW, the WWE is NOT a professional "league"...It is merely sports "entertainment", like the UFC...
