ok im having an u/s and i have instructions to what i have to do. empty baldder 90 mins before the exam, drink 1L of water but have to be finished drinking 1 hour prior the exam. ok my baldder can not hold 1 letre of water so i was thinking just to drink 750ml. i had trouble holding 1 letre of water in my previous exam and went to the toilet then stopped mid-stream and she said that my baldder was only just full.

so do you think that its a good idea to drink under the posted limit of water? its only 250ml difference...

Well i did, i cant hold that much in my bladder either. My ultrasound went fine so yours should to.Not many pregnant women can hold that much so it really isnt a big deal. Do your best at holding most of it and everything will go fine, good luck.

I can't think of anyone that can hold one liter of water in their bladder--that's a lot. If you drink a liter, that does not mean that your bladder has to hold that much. Your body will use it for other needs as well. They say to drink a lot to make up for the different ways your body will use that water.
