Why are teen's so mean??

Question

I'm 15 and I hate going to school. People crack on me everyday because I have a gap in between my teeth. Almost all of the boy's say that I'm ugly. Why are teens so mean?? Is it because most of them are still immature??

It has everything to do with finding their personalities and roles in life. They pick on others to make themselves feel better (because they are immature and self-concious themselves). Once high school is over, none of this will matter in the least. But, I know that while you're in high school, it means the world. In the mean time...while you're waiting out the stupidity, try to ignore the morons. Smile and be kind to everyone you see and try to be the best person you know how. When halloween comes, dress up like madonna (or some other person who is proud of their tooth gap). Embrase your beautiful smile and always make fun of yourself...great words to live by ALL throughout life..not just high school.

its because they have nothing better to do and because they think that they're the big deal the it person its got to be their way and so on i use to be like these kids when i was in middle school and first started high school i feel kind of bad now so dont worry when they're older they're gonna feel bad and feel like total idiot...so dont worry it'll come to pass...plus you'll always get picked on no matter where you go or how old you are...some people just never grow a heart if ya know what i mean.

Yes because in ur teen years, u are still trying to figure out who u r and what ur purpose is in life, so teens lash out and are mean to others for their own enjoyment because they r not happy with themselves. I'm sorry that happens to u )= i hope i helped!

well it could be that or for what ever reason they just dont like you i go to a high school and the school is so big that there are a lot of people out ther e that can come up to you and start laughing for what ever reason i feel the same way you dont so dont think your alone okey

Most 15 year olds are nicer than that. It is reallty immaturity on their parts for teasing you. You dont worry about them.

well im a teen and im not mean i have tons of friend with gaps in their teeth and they get tons of boys.I forgot who told me but if you have a gaps in your teeth you have character!but ya it might br cuz there still little kids dont worry bout them homie

yea i think it's immaturity mostly. But sometimes people are just mean cuz thats what they are raised around. dont let them bother you. i hate going to school too but the good new is that we won't be there forever:)

cuz they are stupid, no offense. I got teased everyday in elementary and junior high, by high school I ignored everyone. they didnt all stop but most did and the ones that didnt, well most of them are in jail now so HAHAHA

they feel inadequate so they pick on others
they do not want others to see whats wrong with them so they put the spot light on others
they are insecure in who they are

this does not excuses what they do to you in any way when they do this turn the spot light back on them and it will help you feel alil better and may make it stop

ya, i dono im 14 and sum pple i gess just gotta be "cool", like im pretty lucky i go to a pretty nice highschool kinda out of the city. so we got nive kids (for the most part), but itry to be nice like seriosly. but sum kids still bully for w/e reasons and sum kids amke fun of others, i dono y, but they do. gess there trying to be cool?
