Hey guys. I'm a 14 year old kid with a normal life. I think i'm pretty mature because i go to school with a bunch of older kids and we get along fine. My brain has probably developed a lot faster than most kids my age but im not sure about my hormones. I kind of want to date cuz my friends, who are 16 are doing it. and it seems really fun for them. Idk! should i wait until i'm their age...or their grade? i just wanna have fun

I think you should wait since you are a little younger. Besides what's the hurry? You should be enjoying the things younger people enjoy before you grow up too fast and then wonder why you missed out on stuff. You should be able to have fun without the dating thing getting in the way regardless of your age. Even as an adult, when you loose the having fun thing or being able to have fun without a "friend", then you tend to loose yourself. Enjoy life while you can since you are only young once and when you grow up too fast, you might experience things you are not ready to experience. If you get my meaning. Don't put yourself in a situation that you can't get out of. Above all, be safe and take care of yourself.

Well cuz...you should but on the brakes a little bit...cause once the Ferrari's goin its gone. You just want to have fun, but you don't really think of the consequences...transmitted diseases, pregnancy all that stuff you don't need to worry about until later. Just enjoy your 14 years of age right now and you'll get to that stuff a bit later...it'll come by fast. But its your life, you can do whatever you choose, Yahoo! Answers is here just for advice.

That depends on what you would call "fun". Destructive behaviors like drug and alcohol abuse, crime, etc. are to be avoided at all costs. If you mean by saying fun you are talking about sex, I would have to say negative ghostrider. You think that you are mature enough to do it, but in truth, it will only lead to problems. Be safe, and use your head. You can have fun making out, etc, but save the sex for later. It will suck at this age. You'll feel awkward, not know what to do, question your body, yada yada yada. Get good grades. Guys dig chicks who are smart and independant. You might not see it now, but you will.

Wait till your 16 you will be more mature and will find out from your friends what to watch out for. It doesn’t mean that you can't have fun with a guy just don't date yet, do it with a group of friends.

Please enjoy your youth and dont go with the staus quo just to fit in. You are so young yet, and yes you maybe mature for your age but you are not mature enough to make adult decisions about your body.
Trust me you will look back when you are like 25-30 and think that girl was right.
You have so much time for dating later go out in big groups and get to know someone it is much safer. Dont be in hurry to grow up

Wait. Dating isn't as fun as you think it will be. You will get your heart broke many times before you find the right guy. Stay a kid and enjoy it as long as you can!

Do you think you are really mature asking that ? What you mean with have some .... "fun" ? Fun is fun, sex is sex and be immature is be immature. Is fine if you have friends older than you, but if "YOU" say you are so "MATURE" you should know what to do or what don't do... anyways Good Luck sweety.... and i hope u don't come in some months saying what is a good name for your baby.

When you say fun, i hope you don't mean "FUN" as in... legally you cannot do this until you are 18? But in my opinion, there is nothing wrong with dating for experience. Just be sure to be careful and safe, and have fun! (the clean fun). :)
