For over 17 years I have researched 'anti-truths', what are more commonly known as 'half-truths', discovering in 1994 that the definition of half-truth was incorrect.

You see a half-truth can be many things.

It was defined as a statement that is partially true; ie half true and half false.

Then it dawned on me one day that a half-truth could also be part of the truth, ie half of the truth, or part of the truth, but not the whole truth.

For example, "Stop violence against women' is two half truths.

First it only deals with violence, and not all the other forms of the abuse of women.

Second the slogan ignores the abuse of men and children.

So the statement while true, creates a polarizing lie. It is very, very deceptive.

My thesis is that this is the 'original sin' from the garden of eden, when "Adam and Eve" took of the tree of knowledge and were deceived by Satan to believe they would become like God to know The Truth ?

I'm not sure what you're saying or asking...

The original sin was that Eve ate a forbidden apple from the tree of Knowledge (which God instructed them not to do) after Satan in the form of a snake, tempted her. By choosing to taste knowledge, Eve & Adam (since he took a bite too) lost the privilege of living in paradise & now had to suffer mortal existence in a flawed world (welcome to our lives!) I believe the story is symbolic & not meant to be taken literally.

honestly- you might want to look deeper into your research and try the old testiment (sorry my spelling is off). in the Torah, it was not Satan that gave the fruit to Eve, it was a snake. At that time the snake hand arms and legs and as punishment for tricking Eve, he was cursed to wander on his belly. The Snake was in love with Eve and wanted her for himself. Satan is actually more a mischief maker- still an angel in Gd's kingdom. He comes into the story later with Abraham and Isaac.

You also might want to think of this truth- did GD actually want them to eat from the tree? when you tell a child or anyone really, NOT to do something, do they not become more curious? And GD asks Adam "what have you done?"- its GD - doesnt he know?? Why would he ask? And, didnt he know what Adam was going to say? Was he hoping maybe Adam would confess and say "i'm sorry i ate from the tree"- instead he says "The woman gave me the fruit and I ate it" so now it the Woman's fault! and for the rest of time Women will be the Original Sin.

You are asking "What was the original sin?" or just promoting a book or idea?

If the latter, post your idea where it can be seen here ... (or as one person visiting churches asked, "Can you explain your teachings standing on one foot" because you will have to make your explaination short)

If you are asking what the original sin was ... hmmm,
- what would make someone feeling guilty to cover their sexual parts?
- What would be so important to a God of love that would make Him kick His children out of home?
- Remember that the first step was from the serpent to Eve when you read verses like Jude 6,7

The original sin in the Garden of Eden was disobedience. God has the right to make the rules. Those who have come to God pray "Thy will be done". Sin is "My will be done."

the concept of original sin does not mean the first sin, but the state of mankind which resulted from it. so by using the term "original sin" you are distorting a truth.

You make the statement, "My thesis is that this is..." but it isn't clear what your "this" refers to.

being out in left field as you are, i recommend dropping the word truth from your vocabulary.
