I had this friend who got mad at me. Before he got mad, he introduced me to several other people who I got to know. I can't say I was really close to them, but we hung out. Eventually when my friend got mad at me, he made the whole group dislike me by saying things. Has this ever happened to you? He said he got mad at me for saying things that were false, but he turns around and does the same thing, and tries to get everyone not to like me at once. Is this right?

That's called backbiting and is one of the worlds biggest problems. When someone backbites, they make the person they're backbiting bad in the eyes of others - and that helps spread hate. I have noticed that bad affects of backbiting. For example, it's happened several times that people have backbitten about someone that I didn't know that well, and it made me without realizing hate them! Then I met the person and they turned out to be very nice. I mean I was aware of the the affects of backbiting, but it still affected me... You know what I mean?

What your friend did was wrong... I hope one day, no one backbites!

Hope that helps..

It's happened sometimes.

It sounds like he's really immature. When you have problems with a friend, you're not supposed to go off and announce it to all your friends and talk about you in front of them. It's just called courtesy and respect.

When friends ask what's wrong when we have a fight or something, we don't even tell them. They just sense there was a fight and don't go into our problems... because it's just that.... OUR problems.... NOT THEIRS.

Your friend has to respect you. Let him know how you feel... that what he did was out of line and what happens between the 2 of you should STAY between the 2 of you.

I have been through that. If others are going to believe what he says and not like you for who you are, screw them.
