The only reason he wants to come back is so that he can get those last 12 home runs to give him 600 for his career. Just remember this, with the steroid issue got too hot for him to handle, he made up his mind to disappear for awhile. He waited until things cooled off a little which also gave him time to get the steroids out of his system. He probably would not have tried to make a come back if he had already hit his 600 home runs. However those last 12 have been bugging him for a long time.
He is way past his prime and without the steroids he's just another ball player. I hope he doesn't make the team because the bottom line is, he's a cheater. I hope he never gets those 12 home runs and it eats at him for the rest of his cheating life.

It depends on how much HGH or flax seed oil Sosa borrowed from Barry Bonds in the off season.

I say 100% hes gonna make the team and contribute, shame that hes going to steal Jason Botts playing time. Ron Washington seems to like Sammy.

He ends up platooning. Some OF, a little DH. He hits .255 and 18-23 HR. nothing special at all.

He will be a platoon DH & pinch hitter. Avg. will be around .250 w/ 15-20 HR.

i think he has the chance to do OK playing in that bandbox that the rangers play in, but he'll obviously never return to form...he'll probably be like a .240 hitter with some HRs and RBIs off the bench, but nothing major

Well hopefully what he WON'T do this year is steroids but considering that's the only reason for his past success I see him not even making the opening day roster.

He can join the Tigers. They love their former users like Sheffield and Pudge. He would fit right in there, and since it is Detroit, no one would notice.
