8 kmph = x hours * 5 kmph + y hours * 9 kmph
...and x hours + y hours = 1 hour (y = 1hr - x hr)
8 = x5 + (1-x)9
8 = 5x+9-9x
-1 = -4x
1/4 = x

spent 15 minutes walking and 45 minutes jogging..
.75*9 = 6.75 miles jogged.
